In the 1990’s it was easy to decorate our homes for fall because our gold/green/red color scheme mirrored the colors of straw, stems and pumpkins!
Now that the marketplace has moved our homes from a beige neutral to a gray neutral, what’s the best way to decorate for fall?
I like using having a little fun with the traditional color of pumpkins and using creams and blue-green based fall shapes instead. Paired with antlers and a little aged metal (shout out to joanna gaines and magnolia!), and you have a centerpiece that transitions nicely to Thanksgiving and on to Christmas.
For celebrations I can add burlap runners or placemats with creams plates and acorn nameplates. Using neutrals with lots of texture creates a perfect look for fall in a modern home!
